Eugenia Halbert, MA, LPCC

PSR Therapist

Eugenia earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from the University of Toledo in Ohio. She then earned her Master's degree in Forensic Psychology from the University of Denver. Eugenia has experienced a wide variety of settings in the community throughout her undergraduate and graduate career.

In working with the Lucas County Probation Department she gained exposure to one sector of the criminal justice system and was able to identify barriers that clients faced in maintaining a well-balanced life while also complying with community corrections. Eugenia states this was the driving force in her passion to help people overcome barriers in their lives.

Eugenia believes that individuals will have greater success maintaining a well-balanced life through support and connection to others.

Eugenia has worked with the Harm Reduction Action Center, which promotes public health by servicing people that experience homelessness, mental illness, and substance abuse. Eugenia states this setting taught her the ultimate need for human compassion, connection, and meeting individuals where they are in their life without judgement.

Eugenia has spent the last few years working as a therapeutic case manager. In this position, she developed her skills of seeking out and connecting individuals to resources in the community as well as helping them build skills to help them succeed in their day to day life.

Eugenia prefers to use a holistic approach to her work. She believes that a person can use their strengths combined with professional support to improve multiple areas of their lives. She fosters an environment of growth through compassion, support, and empowerment.

Eugenia enjoys music, spending time with her family, reading, and DIY projects. She also takes pride in exploring and experiencing delicious foods with family and friends.
