Ali Pierucci is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has a Bachelor of Arts from Lewis and Clark University and a Master’s Degree in Social Work. Ali has over twenty years experience in the mental health field in a variety of settings including community mental health rehab centers, shelters, hospitals, treatment programs, and private practice. Ali is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and is currently working toward becoming an EMDR consultant and trainer. Ali also has advanced training in Brainspotting, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and a variety of other clinical modalities and interventions.
Ali worked on the in-patient psychiatric unit at Denver Health Medical Center where she was able to support folks with a variety of both psychiatric and medical concerns achieve stabilization and connect with the appropriate resources. Ali was a manager for a step-down residential program through the Mental Health Center of Denver (now called Wellpower). Here, she was able to help folks with chronic persistent mental illness learn how to live as independently as possible while under the care of supported housing.
As a Program Coordinator at College Living Experience Ali worked in the Independent Living Experience Program. Ali collaboratively built an innovative supportive case management program for exceptional young adults. These young adults received wrap-around support while learning to live well and attend college at local universities.
Ali strongly believes we heal through connection with others, and that community work is vital in order to meet unmet psychosocial needs that are obstacles to healing.
Additionally, Ali has had experience doing contract work for local in-patient, outpatient treatment, & sober living programs specializing in treating folks living with substance abuse disorders. For the last several years Ali has had a full-time private practice specializing in working with survivors of trauma and loss.
Ali considers herself trauma-informed and values her client’s right to self-determination. The goal of her work is always to empower clients to be as independent as possible. Ali strongly believes that we health through connection with others, and that community work is vital in order to meet unmet psychosocial needs that are obstacles to healing.
Ali was raised on the East Coast in Connecticut near NYC, went to undergrad in Portland, Oregon. She completed her graduate work in social work in Washington D.C. When she isn’t working Ali loves to roller skate, travel with her husband, read, and connect with friends over delicious food.
